Privacy policy

This page explains what information Realms Technologies ("we") collects through realmsplugins.com and our plugins (Swang, Engrain and Resynth), what we use it for, and the choices you have. Questions go to caspian@realmsplugins.com.

What we collect

• When you buy. Checkout is run by Moonbase, which sells our plugins on our behalf and handles payment and sales tax. Moonbase and its payment providers collect your name, email address, billing details and payment details. We never see or store your card number. We receive your name, email address, country, and a record of what you bought.
• When you create an account. Your account, including your email address and password, is stored by Moonbase. It is where your licences and downloads live.
• When you activate a plugin. The plugin contacts Moonbase to confirm your licence. This includes information that identifies the computer, such as its name and a device identifier, so that a licence can be limited to a set number of computers. The plugin checks in again from time to time to confirm the licence is still valid. It does not send your audio, your projects or anything you make.
• When you visit the site. Our hosting provider, Netlify, records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to run and protect the site. The shop keeps a small amount of information in your browser to remember your cart and keep you signed in. We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If that changes, we will update this page first.
• When you email us. We keep your message and your address so we can reply and help.

What we use it for

• Delivering what you bought and keeping your licences working.
• Answering support requests.
• Keeping the records that tax and accounting rules require.
• Telling you about updates to plugins you own. If you opt in to news at checkout, we may also email you about new releases. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that make the above possible: Moonbase (checkout, accounts and licensing), Netlify (hosting) and our email provider. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep account and licence information for as long as you have an account, because your licences depend on it. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing caspian@realmsplugins.com. Deleting your account also removes your licences. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your information; we will honour any that apply to you.

Children

Our site and plugins are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
